Friday, December 16, Day 5
Travel day!! Today we travel to Budapest for the primary purpose of our whole trip, The Christmas Market River Cruise!! While I'm super excited, we have to meet in the lobby at FOUR AM in order to catch the Taxi to Heathrow. Leaving this early, the Heathrow Express isn't running yet, so we're stuck using a good ol' Taxi. For all of you reading this, I just KNOW you can hear the excitement that exudes from Bill and Mom.
Yea, I have no idea how to align these so they're in line with each other, so...sorry.
We finally got boarded on our plane, and we were almost ready to go. Then some dweebs decided that they didn't want to fly, so they got off. Which meant the airline had to dig through the luggage hold to find their specific suitcases, and we were stuck waiting for about 45 minutes for that to happen. THEN we could finally fly.
Landing in Budapest was a wholly uneventful affair. The whole of Europe was apparently covered in clouds, and even once we landed, there was limited visibility. Making our way through customs and border patrol was also uneventful. The most exciting thing to happen was that we all got one of those coveted stamps in our passport! YAY!
I'm sure you can see just how warm and inviting Hungary is! Oh well...at least it will be warm on the boat!! (That's called foreshadowing, in case you were wondering...)
Ok, trying to get anything to upload right now is near impossible. More to come!
